My Homeschool group
I really really love the homeschool group I am part of. A lot of people in the area homeschool, and some of them are a part of a group called "Homeschooling Friends." On Wednesdays the "clubs" meet, and Alex and Nathan are in the "Little Boys' Club." The moms take turns doing an activity and letting the boys play together. You can stay, or even just drop them off. This past Wed. the mom did a birthday party, Star Wars, at a park and the boys said it was the best party ever!

Then on Fridays, all the kids and moms get together and have activities for the kids, and socializing and idea sharing for the moms. There are also "mom's night out" activities randomly. I love the moms and the other kids in the group and we have made friends that way. I also love hearing the other ideas the moms have. Right now the kids play baseball and play at the playground and the moms sit and talk and share ideas and say how great homeschooling is. Other times we go on field trips, and other times there are formal classes that moms volunteer to teach and we meet in a dance studio. The moms seem to be a lot like me and share similar interests. Today at the park Katie stood up on her own for the first time!: (pizza crusts in hand)

(By the way, if anyone is interested, they can come with me and see what it's like. Beware though, you might start homeschooling after that!)

I am so happy for you and this group. What a neat way to make friends and what a great support group to have. Way to go Baby on standing up!! It is only a matter of time....then.....Walking!
I can't believe my eyes! She's standing up all by herself! Thanks for getting a shot of it!!!! Looks like the boys had the time of their lives, too. I bet Todd was jealous.:)
