Infomercials

Yesterday Todd's shoe broke and Alex said, "You need Mighty Mend-it! Before you waste money throwing things away, you can fix it with Mighty Mend-it!"

This morning I was putting on mascara and Alex said, "You should get the Spin-Lash..." and spouts off info about the Spin-Lash.

It all started one morning when the boys got up before I did and Alex ran up to me and said, "I need your phone!" I went downstairs to see what he was doing and he was watching an infomercial. He said, "Look Mom! You don't even have to go to a gym--you can do it right in your own home! You go from fat to skinny! It even comes with some recipe books!" He had even dialed the number on the phone (but hadn't pushed call yet).

He falls for every gimmick on tv. I tried to tell him you can't believe everything you see in an advertisement, but we decided the Snuggy-the-blanket-with-sleeves was a good deal. The boys said that they are going to save their allowance and get Bendaroos.

Maybe he'll be a salesman someday.
