Right now, I'm using a checklist instead of a schedule for the boys' school. This works good for the summer time especially. On today's checklist: read scriptures and do scripture memorizing, one grammar lesson, writing, 30 min. of reading with Alex and 15-30 min. of reading with Nathan, read aloud to them, math (which is drilling adding and subtraction facts and so they play math computer games and they love it), clean, and if I have time add: Spanish (Rosetta Stone they do on the computer), piano and history; help Nathan ride a 2 wheel bike and help him learn to dress (he STILL puts his shirt, shoes and pants on backwards, inside out, upside down and sideways). I decided to start a school blog, so I can journal what I'm doing with them each day.
Right now, Katie is learning to walk on 2 feet (almost there- can stand on two feet by herself, but no steps yet) and Nathan is learning to ride on 2 wheels (we took off his training wheels!).
Right now, Katie just got her first tooth, and Alex got his first loose tooth and his fist permenant tooth at the same time. (It's coming in behind his loose tooth.)
Right now, I'm about to learn the single mother lifestyle because Todd is doing programming, along with a designer neighbor and his marketing friend, on a website that is going to make us rich and famous! I even have to cook dinner like when Todd was in school...:(
