Easter chicks and a bunny

First, here is our new coop and run.  Cute, huh?? The front door opens, and that side door is for collecting eggs. We had someone make it for us. It even has window boxes and a light inside:
We got an incubator and hatched chicks for Easter. They hatched 2 days before Easter. We all had a GREAT time! Some of the chicks hatched in our hands. We just went in the bathroom, shut the door and turned on the shower to keep it hot and moist. The kids LOVED the chicks (especially Nathan and Katherine).

Out of 23 eggs, 15 hatched, and 11 lived, but one dissapeared (I think a hawk got it- and I think it was a hen-dang it!), so we have 10 chickens, 5 I think are hens and 5 I think are roosters. We can have 6 hens, so we went and bought 2 hens just a little younger than our chicks, in case one dies. We are planning on eating the roosters, but we'll see if that actually happens, especially with "Fluffy".
Here's what the chicks look like today, at 9 1/2 weeks:

This one is "Fluffy". He was the first one born and my favorite. He just happened to sadly turn out to be a rooster:(.

Also, a picture of the bunny Katherine got for Easter. We had 3 bunnies, but one died yesterday (we don't know why), and one escaped and never came back (my favorite:(). so this is the remaining bunny:

first half of April

I'm playing catch up! This is for the first half of April.
For General Conference, we went to Todd's grandparents' house on Sat., and Ryan and Shannon's house on Sun. since we don't have cable. We made the kids an activity pack and a snack bag:

In April, Thanksgiving Point did a tulip princess pageant. I'm not about pageants, but I am about the tea party in the garden for those who went! (We ended up not being able to go to the tea party the day they had it, though:()
For the pageant, they had a beauty school do all the girls' hair and make up:
...and gave all of them a crown:
They did her hair really cute:

Abbie didn't get hair or makeup done:)

They had the parents write up a little thing about each girl to read out loud while the princesses walked each girl to the front of the stage. While the girls were in line, Katherine had a peepee accident right on the stage. We got a picture of her standing daintily with her little pink purse next to her big puddle, but I think Katherine deleted it because the picture mysteriously vanished.
Her is Abbie on the front stage:

Here is Katherine. She did a courtsey (they told everyone to, but she was one of the only ones who did it:)):

Katherine and Abbie and the other princesses:

Afterwards, they gave them all a prize bag. Then we went to the garden restaurant:

Then the kids ran down the hill and we played at the gardens. Look at Katherine in the next 2 pictures:

 Alex rolling down the hill:
Since the girls were in their pretty dresses, I took some pictures of them:

 My people:
"Hmm, what is that you're holding, Mommy?"
"EEEEEE!" (translates to: I want that!)
"ok, plan B"

My cute boy is growing so fast!:

Other pictures:
Katherine said she made herself a lunch. She sat there with her bag, her carrots and spinach leaves, and ate it on her plate (a tupperware lid):
