A Marriage Survey

How did you meet your spouse?
BYU- it was the first Sunday of our freshman year and it was the guys' turn to go to the girls' dorms. Visiting hours were every sunday for a couple hours. So my roommate and I made signs with arrows for the guys to come visit our room, and Todd was in a group of guys that came by to visit us.

How long have you been married? 8 1/2 years

What characteristics made you attracted to your spouse? he was very nice, intelligent (did I spell that right?) and funny and a really good person

How long were you together before getting married?
We were together all freshman year, then he went on a 2 year mission, then we were married 6 months after he got home.

How old were you and your spouse when you married? 21, a couple weeks before i turned 22.

If someone who has not met their soul mate and would like to find one, what would be your advice for them to meet their soul mate?
Make signs with arrows.

How long does it usually take you to get over an argument? I'm never mad longer than a day. Of course, I'm usually the one that is in trouble.

What is your definition of marriage?
a man and woman who have signed legal papers to be married. what makes a good marriage is different, but marriage is a legal contract.

What do you think makes a successful marriage? when the people think about eachothers' feelings and are kind to each other.

who handles the finances? Why? Mostly Todd, but I have some budgets I am in charge of now. Todd is in charge because I am bad at it. Shopping is my kind of therapy.

What is the most difficult thing about being married? sharing a bed with someone who moves all over when he sleeps!

what advice would you give about marriage? be nice.

How long did you wait to have children? 10 months

How far apart in age are your children? Alex 6--16 months---Nathan 5 1/2---4 1/2 years---Katherine almost one---????--
